It’s possible the schedule will vary on a week-to-week basis, but advance notice will be given so the nanny can plan around it. They are looking for someone who is very travel savvy and who is excited about a position that involves always being on the go! This is a professional career nanny position for someone who is looking to stay with a family for years to come. Their ideal nanny is not only highly experienced working with newborns and infants, but they would also love someone who enjoys cooking and doesn’t mind preparing family meals a few times per week. COLLEGE EDUCATED NANNY NEEDED FOR ACTIVE TODDLER + BABY ON THE WAY! - Job #324 (POSITION FILLED) Nashville, TN
Warm and loving family in Nashville is in search of a full-time professional career nanny. They have 2 kids: an 18-month-old and a baby girl due in May. Typical hours will be M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm with travel a few times per year. They are looking for someone with extensive toddler and newborn experience, and a college degree. The toddler will be starting a Mother’s Day Out program 3 days per week and nanny will be responsible for drop offs/pick ups with baby in tow. Interested candidates should be comfortable juggling two young kids and managing their ever-changing needs and schedule. Duties will consist of anything and everything related to the kids, including maintaining all the necessary background work to keep the household running smoothly (i.e., keeping changing areas stocked, washing/sterilizing bottles before end of shift, tidying child areas before end of shift, packing/unpacking for travel, etc.) so when parents get home from work, they can enjoy their evening fully focused on the kids and spending quality time with them. They describe their current nanny as “on top of it” — she is always one step ahead, anticipating their family’s needs, so they are looking for someone who can do the same. Their ideal nanny is cool, calm, and collected; someone who is fun with the kids and easy to get along with. They keep a very organized and clean home, so someone who will keep the home as good as they found it is a must. There is a housekeeper two days per week, so no deep cleaning involved! They are looking for someone who is proactive, takes initiative, and simply loves working with children. Their ideal nanny is a career nanny — someone who has made this their longterm goal in life and is not just nannying in the meantime while ultimately planning to pursue something else. The parents encourage their nanny to get out and about with the kids, socialize, play outside, and explore the world around them; someone who is energetic and active would be a great fit! They view their nanny as an extension of themselves and welcome their nanny’s input when planning the daily schedule and activities. They believe in having firm boundaries with their children and are the type of parents to not only be consistent, but they also back their nanny up and allow her to establish an authority with the children. Mom works in and out of the home - she has a home office upstairs (with a few other employees). When she is working in the home, she is very respectful of the nanny’s position and understands that popping in frequently can be disruptive to the children, so she makes it a point to be very conscientious of making the nanny’s day as smooth as possible! This family treats their nanny like gold — the current nanny is only leaving because she’s relocating to another city. The parents are super fun and nice, and they are looking for someone who they enjoy spending time with and who will become a part of the family. The exact start date is flexible, but they would ideally like someone in place by May/June in order to assist Mom during her maternity leave and overlap with the current nanny. Family has one hypoallergenic dog, so nanny must be comfortable with pets. In addition to Nanny Counsel’s basic requirements, interested candidates MUST have: 5+ years professional nanny experience working in a private home and a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a child related field. Compensation Details: $50-$55k gross per year based on a guaranteed 45 hour workweek, legal overtime, mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate, 2 weeks paid vacation of the nanny’s choosing, paid sick days, and paid holidays.
