*POSITION FILLED* Loving & Energetic Nanny Needed for Nanny Share in East Nashville - $30 per hour - Job #238

An amazing return client is searching for their next long-term nanny for their nanny share! Their current nanny has been with them for 2 years and is leaving to pursue another career. Both families live in East Nashville and have 2.5 year old best friends. They need someone Monday through Friday, from 8:45am-4:45pm with 40 hours guaranteed. The families live about a 2 minute car ride from each other, and the share will be evenly split between the two homes (rotating homes every 2 weeks). While at Family A’s home, both parents work from home in a separate space but go into the office from time to time. Family B works exclusively from home in designated offices. Everyone in the share is progressive so a nanny who is open-minded, kind, and welcoming to any and all ideals, would be a good fit! Their current nanny is energetic and very talkative with the kids, which is something they really value. They also appreciate that their nanny is a very strong communicator and has taken the lead to set up the share and help it run smoothly, so a nanny who has previous nanny share experience would be a bonus!

Their ideal candidate is a career nanny who is knowledgeable with developmental milestones and proactively plans enriching days for the children. A nanny who understands basic nutrition and is willing to plan simple, but wholesome meals for the kids would be ideal! They love having a nanny who uses their expertise to structure the days by incorporating a balance of planned activities, outdoor play, and independent free play. Their current nanny keeps the kids busy by taking them to the zoo, science center, Cheekwood, parks, library, and more! She is also educationally minded and has helped the children learn their ABC’s, colors, numbers, etc. The day is typically structured with a morning outing, home for lunch, nap time from about 1pm-3pm, then a snack and some playtime at home after nap until the parents get home. Both families lean toward a respectful, connected approach to raising their children. They believe in letting kids be kids, letting them feel their emotions, and helping them practice mindfulness. The most important thing is finding a nanny who absolutely loves their children and making that the priority.

The nanny’s primary responsibility will be unconditionally loving the children and maintaining a consistent routine for them. Beyond that, some basic nanny responsibilities will be expected as time allows such as child laundry, taking out diaper trash, keeping changing station stocked, organizing clothes/toys, wiping down the table and sweeping up crumbs after meals, loading/unloading the dishwasher, tidying child areas, etc. Since both families are first time parents, they welcome a nanny’s input and guidance, however, they do want someone who will be respectful of them as parents and support them if they make a firm decision. Both families are Covid vaccinated and interested candidates must be fully vaccinated, including an annual flu shot.
