*POSITION FILLED* Friendly & Knowledgeable Career Nanny/Family Assistant Needed for Infant in Nashville - $27-$30+ per hour - Job #825

First time parents in Sylvan Park are searching for a Professional Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their baby boy due in June. They are specifically interested in hiring someone who has experience with infants and is able to help guide them. They view a nanny’s role as part of the parenting team, and as such, really value having a collaborative approach to raising their child. They want to feel comfortable coming to the nanny with questions and the nanny being able to offer insight and suggestions in a gentle way. The schedule will be M-F, 40 guaranteed hours per week. They are open to figuring out the typical schedule with the nanny (i.e., M-F from 9am-5pm), with flexibility as needed. Their ideal candidate is flexible for occasional date nights, evenings when mom has school, and accompanying the family on vacations. They will always give the exact schedule in advance so the nanny can plan accordingly – their ideal arrangement involves mutual respect and consideration when it comes to setting the schedule (i.e., they will be flexible with the nanny as well if the nanny needs to pop out for an appointment). They are offering $27-$30+ per hour, DOE on payroll + paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, and a health insurance stipend is negotiable for the right candidate.

Their ideal candidate is very friendly, focused on their child, and someone they personally enjoy being around and spending time with. A nanny who has a solid childcare foundation and is willing to learn and grow together with the parents, would be a great fit! Mom works part-time from home and is in school 2 evenings per week. Because mom works from home, it’s important that the nanny is comfortable tag teaming with mom and enjoys this type of dynamic. They are looking for a blend of a Nanny/Family Assistant as there may not always be a full 40 hours of childcare that’s needed. The typical job responsibilities will include anything and everything related to the child, family laundry, helping with pets, organizing the pantry, vacuuming kitchen after meals, running errands, making beds, general tidying, etc. They have a regular weekly house cleaner, so no deep cleaning involved! They have a lot of pets (2 large dogs and 4 cats), so it’s important that their nanny is not only comfortable around animals, but an animal lover! They already have a dog sitter and dog walker, but their Nanny/Family Assistant will help let the dogs in/out in the fenced yard throughout the day, help with water/feeding, maintaining the litterbox, and generally enjoy being around animals.

Their parenting style is authoritative with firm boundaries and expectations. They plan to back their nanny up and believe it’s important for everyone on the parenting team to be on the same page. They practice minimal electronics and want to foster a diverse palate by exposing their child to new foods. Interested candidates should have a solid understanding of child nutrition and preparing balanced meals. They keep a very organized and clean home and would like a nanny who operates the same way. As a family they love the outdoors and would like a nanny who prioritizes daily outdoor time and who enjoys taking children on various outings around town. They are an open-minded family and are seeking a nanny who I also open-minded and believes in being kind to everyone. They plan to follow the AAP safe sleep guidelines and would like a nanny who is knowledgeable on this and can help guide them if needed. At the end of the day, they are looking for someone who values open communication and is truly willing to partner with them to help them raise their son!
