Stop Asking Me When I'm Going to Get a 'Real' Job

Oh hey you! Yes, you with your judgmental views and assumptions about what I do for a living and whether or not being a nanny qualifies as a "real" job. I'm just curious what you think I do all day at my pretend job? And what do you think I do with all that pretend money I make? I must use it to pay my pretend bills...All too often people think that nannying isn't a REAL job. Even worse -- some people don't just think it, they voice it as well. Don't believe me? I have yet to meet a parent who fully understands how a nanny share should work. I know that there are amazing parents out there who know the true definition of a nanny share and do it correctly, but they are few and far between.

True Story Tuesday: Secrets

Happy Tuesday! Let's bring it back to our favorite True Story family -- the same one from the stories Nail Polish, On Time, and The Stroller. As we know, this family had already given off major red flags. Their micromanaging was at an unhealthy, toxic level and their expectations of a nanny were simply not even possible for a human being to live up to. This incident I'm about to share was truly the beginning of the end for me.
